PRESS RELEASE
KNEE DOWN#3 HITS THE SHELVES
The third issue of KNEE DOWN, Australia's only magazine devoted to track day riders and road racing enthusiasts is out now.
Firing off the line with Andrew Pitt's test of the Yamaha Racing Team's Supersport R6, we follow up with Jeff Ware's slower-paced ride on the Championship-winning Suzuki GSX-R600 of Troy Herfoss. We also managed to score an amazing ride on The 6 Hour BMW S 1000 RR. Paul Bailey scored an invite from BMW to sample stock and modified S 1000 RRs.
We've kept Pitty busy and he's revealed the secrets on how to ride Wanneroo as well as having a yarn in a pub with Cam Donald. Pitty also made time between mouthfuls of food to share the inside info on braking markers.
We scored a set of Dunlop's SportSmart N-Tec tyres to test on road and track. Jeff went to the world launch of Pirelli's Diablo Rosso II tyres. Both reports are in this issue.
Bernie Hatton explains the importance of hand and foot controls while Steve Brouggy talks about using them. Paul Bailey gives valuable advice on fluid retention and we also have a look into crash protection.
Road racing results from across the globe as well as club-level racing in Australia is a unique feature of Knee Down, as are pics of normal folk in On Any Track Day.
Knee Down is a production of independent Australian publisher JP Media, home of Rapid Bikes and Used & Classic Bike Enthusiast magazines. $8.95 RRP.

PRESS RELEASE
2011 SUPERBIKE COMPARO ROCKS RAPID BIKES
Australia's most in-depth Superbike Comparo is done and the winner is
revealed in Rapid Bikes #66, on sale today.
When Rapid Bikes selects a winner, it's only after thousands of kilometres on the road and hundreds of laps of The Farm.
The winner is voted on by riders that you know and trust: Wayne Gardner is our chief road tester and he's ably backed up by fellow Australian road racing legend Peter Galvin. Bernie Hatton, James Spence, Jeff Ware and Warwick Maguire have all attained A-Grade racing status for good reason. The rest of our testing panel are experts in their own field. We don't run lucky dips.
The 2011 contenders represent the finest selection of superbikes ever offered to Australian riders and the results may surprise.
Australia's first turbocharged Honda CBR1000RR is also featured alongside a Ducati Monster and Yamaha FZ6N that have also been customised.
Jeff also hit the world launch of the Pirelli Diablo Rosso II at Salt Lake City, Utah, and we introduce our long-term Ducati 1198.
Rapid Bikes is a production of independent Australian publisher JP Media, home of Knee Down and Used & Classic Bike Enthusiast magazines.
